What’s a CPN?

A Credit Privacy Number (CPN)—also known as a Credit Protection Number—is a nine-digit identifier formatted similarly to a Social Security Number. It is sometimes used by individuals seeking to establish a separate credit profile.

For those facing challenges such as bankruptcies, poor credit history, evictions, repossessions, or criminal records, a CPN may be considered as part of a strategy to present a cleaner profile when applying for credit or housing.

What can it be used for?

A CPN is great when looking to:

• Rent a house or apartment

• Lease a vehicle

• Hide a Bankruptcy, Repo, Eviction, or Criminal Record

• Establish credit or any of the above while fixing your real credit.

Is it Legal?

It depends how you use it.

If you are honest and have the intentions of paying everything back and on time it is.

A good example is, its like a gun, it depends how you use it.
